Bioethanol is an anhydrous ethyl
alcohol made of material of agricultural origin. It is used in petrochemical industry as
ecological biocomponent for engine fuels and ingredient in the production of ethyl
tertiary buthyl ether (ETBE).
The use of bioethanol in refining industry causes significant reduction of the
emission of GHG (greenhouse gases). Significant increase in using renewable energy sources
like bioethanol resources allows to reduce usage of limited crude oil. Thanks to its
advantages, bioethanol may become one of the most important energy sources in the future. |
